  • Condensed Matter E-Prints
    A subset of Los Alamos e-print archive at xxx under physics. Covers papers since 1992. There is a titles/authors index. Subject classes include: materials science, mesoscopic systems and quantum hall effect, soft condensed matter, statistical mechanics, strongly correlated electrons, etc.
  • ESS (European Spallation Source)
    European Spallation Neutron Source, a next generation neutron source for Europe. Includes introduction, history and technical study of ESS. A full text publication: ESS Volume II - the Scientific Case can also be accessed through this page.
  • The European Neutron Scattering Association
    A good source to locate information about neutron scattering and related topics in Europe. Contents include ENSA survey of the neutron community and facilities, SEF/ENSA report on neutron scattering , and ENSA neutron scattering software database.
  • Magnetic Resonance Periodic Table
    A service provided by the Biomedical Magnetic Resonance Laboratory and the University of Illinois to the resonance community. This periodic table requires a web client that supports HTML tables. A non-HTML table version is also available. Features include integrated support of WebElement, and a Larmor Frequency Calculator.
  • Making Matter: the atomic structure of Materials
    These pages illustrate the 3D structures of inorganic materials in the Institute Laue-Langevin's ICSD-for-WWW database, the inorganic crystal structure database (access to a demo version is available to the externals). They were produced by Marcus Hewat's 3D VRML structure drawing application xtal-3d. X-vrml plug-in is required to view 3D VRML model.
  • Neutron scattering lengths and cross sections
    A neutron properties table from NIST. All the data were taken from the special section of the neutron scattering lengths and cross sections in Neutron News, vol. 3, no. 3, 1992.

  • High Tc Update
    A newsletter that provides rapid reliable access to international superconductor research. It covers current issues as well as archival issues dating back 1992. Three versions are available: Word, PDF, and Text.
  • High temperature superconductors at Oak Ridge National Laboratory
    Contains annual reports for ORNL's Superconducting Technology Program, and a teacher's guide to superconductivity. Also included is a virtual poster session called: "Superconductivity: creating the future today."
  • Superconductivity papers database in Japan
    Database includes over 84,000 journal article citations on superconductivity which appeared in 20 to 50 scientific journals after 1987. It contains: high Tc, C60 related, organic conductors, non-oxide superconductors, and theory.
  • Texas Center for Superconductivity at the University of Houston
    The Research Programs section includes TCSUH Figures of Merit , which represent some results that may be interest the HTS community. Those figures are in PDF format and can be downloaded, viewed and printed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

    Located in Harima Science Garden City, Japan. The Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute (JASRI) is responsible for the management, operation and development of SPring-8.

  • LCLS: Linac Coherent Light Source
    The LCLS, a single-pass x-ray free electron laser (X-FEL), will be the world's first hard x-ray laser, 10 billion times brighter than synchrotrons. The LCLS is a multi-institutional collaboration involving SLAC, APS, BNL, LANL, LLNL, and UCLA. Construction is expected to begin in 2006 at SLAC.

    Bibliography of Photon Attenuation Measurements
    This bibliography contains papers (1907-1995) reporting absolute measurements of photon (XUV, x-ray, gamma-ray, bremsstrahlung) total interaction cross sections or attenuation coefficients for the elements and some compounds used in a variety of medical, industrial, defense, and scientific applications. The energy range covered is from 10 eV to 13.5 GeV
    X-Ray Form Factor, Attenuation and Scattering Tabulation
    The primary interactions of x-rays with isolated atoms from Z = 1 (hydrogen) to Z = 92 (uranium) are described and computed within a self-consistent Dirac-Hartree-Fock framework.

    Produced by the Department of Physics at Uppsala University in Sweden. It is the repository of the COREX database of atomic and molecular core edge excitation oscillator strengths, the Henke atomic scattering factors, and other information of interest to x-ray spectroscopists.
